Speedy Service Content: Fräulein Kimchi for Mercedes Benz Vans
When pitching to potential clients, agility and efficiency are just as important as creativity and quality. During my time at C3 Creative Code and Content, I had the unique challenge of creating a pitch film for Mercedes Benz Vans that would highlight their customer stories—focusing on the doers, dreamers, and game-changers who rely on these vehicles every day.
Our concept centered around real-life stories, focusing on the challenges faced by Mercedes Benz van owners and how these vehicles enrich their lives. For this pitch, we decided to take a service-oriented approach—educating and inspiring our audience while showcasing the versatility of Mercedes Benz Vans. The idea was to create a content series that not only tells the story of the owners but also provides valuable, practical knowledge.
For the pitch film, we chose a compelling story from a Korean taco fusion food truck in a Mercedes Benz Sprinter, led by the charismatic and lovable protagonist, Fräulein Kimchi. We decided to produce a Food Truck Hygiene 101 video—a practical tutorial that highlights essential hygiene practices for food truck operators. This educational approach not only showcased the daily challenges faced by food truck owners but also demonstrated how Mercedes Benz Vans can help them navigate those challenges.

The pitch was under an incredibly tight deadline, and with just three days to deliver, the in-house production capabilities at C3 were put to the test. As a solo shooter, I was responsible for every aspect of the production—from project management and direction to shooting, audio, editing, and color grading. This was a true test of the value proposition that C3’s in-house production department offers: speed and cost efficiency without compromising on quality
While the pitch ultimately didn’t win, the film we produced stands as a testament to what can be achieved with a nimble, in-house production approach. The Food Truck Hygiene 101 video was informative and engaging, showing Fräulein Kimchi navigating the essentials of keeping a food truck clean and compliant with regulations. This practical, service-oriented content highlighted how Mercedes Benz Vans could enrich her daily operations—not just as a vehicle, but as a reliable partner in her business.
This project underscored the incredible advantage of having an in-house production team when deadlines are tight. The ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality is a powerful asset, especially in content marketing. The Fräulein Kimchi pitch film exemplifies how an agile in-house approach can deliver high-quality content, even under intense time pressure. In-house production not only saves time but also empowers marketing teams to be more adaptable and responsive, ultimately leading to impactful results.
